Tikka Masala Sauce

| 1 | small | onion, finely diced |
| 1 | tablespoon | garlic, minced |
| 1 | tablespoon | cumin, ground |
| 1.5 | teaspoon | cayenne, ground |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | turmeric, ground |
| 14 | ounce | tomato sauce (can |
| 1 | cup | heavy cream |
| 1 | teaspoon | paprika |
| 1 | teaspoon | black pepper, cracked |
| 1 | teaspoon | Kosher salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | ginger |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cinnamon |
Directions
- In a large skillet melt butter.
- Add onion, cook & stir until translucent.
- Stir in garlic and fry until fragrant.
- Stir in cumin, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, turmeric and fry until fragrant.
- Add tomato sauce, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Add cream and paprika. Simmer 10-15 minutes until thick. Add salt and pepper. Keep warm for service.
