Thai Crab Stuffed Shrimp

Shrimp reigns as one of the top seafood appetizers, and this version takes it up a notch. These butterflied shrimp are stuffed with a flavorful Thai-inspired filling featuring Jumbo Crab Sensations®. A bold, easy-to-serve snack that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

8 Ounces Jumbo Crab Sensations® (Item# 004630)
12 Each Shrimp, U-12, RPD, Tail-On
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
1 Teaspoon Lemon, Fresh, Zest
1 Tablespoon Lemon, Fresh, Juice
To Taste Salt
To Taste Pepper
1/4 Cup Kewpie
1/4 Cup Panko
1 Each Egg, Slightly Beaten
1 Tablespoon Red Curry Paste
1 Tablespoon Lime, Fresh, Juice
1 Teaspoon Ginger, Fresh, Peeled & Minced
1/2 Teaspoon Fish Sauce
1 Tablespoon Cilantro, Chopped
1 Tablespoon Scallions, Chopped

Directions

  1. Butterfly each shrimp. Do not cut all the way through the shrimp.
  2. Mix the sesame oil, olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and let marinate.
  3. Make the filling by adding the remainder of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Stuff each shrimp with approximately 2 tablespoons of filling.
  5. Bake the shrimp on a lined sheet pan for approximately 10 minutes and the stuffing reaches 165°F internal temperature.
