Creamy Jumbo Crab & Gruyere Strudel

Treat yourself to this Jumbo Crab & Gruyére Strudel, a tasty spin on a classic German pastry. Made with Jumbo Crab Sensations®, this dish combines these flavor-filled jumbo crab lumps with nutty Gruyére cheese, all wrapped in a flaky strudel crust.

Ingredients

6 Ounces Jumbo Crab Sensations® (Item# 004630)
3 Ounces Gruyere Cheese, Shredded
1 Tablespoon Garlic, Chopped
1 Tablespoon Shallots, Chopped
2 Tablespoons White Wine
2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
1 Each Scallions
1 Teaspoon Parsley, Chopped
To Taste Salt
To Taste Pepper
5 Sheets Filo Dough
8 Tablespoons Butter, Melted

Directions

  1. Sauté the Jumbo Crab Sensations with the garlic and shallots.
  2. Deglaze with the white wine and then add the heavy cream.
  3. Add the herbs and season with salt and pepper.
  4. When cooled, mix in the shredded gruyere cheese.
  5. Layer the filo dough with melted butter according to package instructions.
  6. Add the Jumbo Crab Sensations mixture to the prepared Filo and roll into desired shape & thickness.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until golden and crispy.
