1 cup diced shallots
1 cup chardonnay or white wine
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
8 sprigs thyme
salt and pepper to taste


  1. Sautee shallots in olive oil at medium heat. Do not allow to over caramelize. Deglaze pan with wine and reduce for 3 minutes. Add the heavy cream, butter, thyme, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add the lemon. Remove from heat.
  2. Remove the thyme sprigs and mix in a blender until smooth. Keep hot.
  3. Top King & Prince® Gourmet Cakes with Chardonnay cream sauce or reserve as a dipping sauce. Garnish with thyme before serving.
